The Law Offices of Nancy A. Noyes 195 Church Street, 11th Floor New Haven, CT 06510 Telephone: (203) 865-6996 Fax: (203) 865-5737 Email: nnoyesesq@aol.com Your children's future and their involvement in your life are at stake. In this particular area, our care, sensitivity and thoughtfulness make the difference with our clients. We have successfully settled a multitude of child custody cases, successfully securing custody for fathers as well as mothers. We have seen first hand the traditional biases facing fathers in today's social and judicial systems, and we have successfully obtained desired results for fathers and their children. We take the child's best interests into account and then formulate the best strategy for attaining desired levels of custody for our clients. Like a divorce, child custody proceedings can be a complex matter. And Nancy A. Noyes will help you through each phase of the process, such as the court-ordered custody mediation session and family evaluations, which help determine the best interests of the child. Family relations mediations often last four to six months. During this time, a thorough analysis of each family member and the social dynamic of the family are performed. You will meet with a family relations officer several times. Ms. Noyes will prepare you for these meetings, so you make the best presentation possible and learn the best way to handle this unfamiliar situation. In situations in which a spouse or child suffers from mental illness, the court may order a psychiatric or psychological evaluation of all of the parties (both spouses and children). The process is similar to the family relations analysis. The evaluations are more in-depth, often encompassing psychological testing and evaluation. There are situations in which you can greatly benefit from an evaluation, and we'll help you know when this process would benefit you, how to choose your evaluator and how to go through the process. In addition, we have effectively resolved changes in custody or child visitation, and have quickly secured restraining orders. We have experience in securing the type of custody that best serves our clients and their children, which include legal custody, physical custody, joint physical custody and joint legal custody. Whatever your particular need is, we will aggressively pursue your individual goals.
